MONSTRUM: Lots of Love for Korean Monster Movies and a Cup of Joe
Show Notes

Kathy, Mark and Burk talk about coffee and the philosophy and engineering behind a good cup… and then we take a close look at a new film from Korean filmmaker Heo Jong-ho. The film is called MONSTRUM and it’s set in the 1500s during the reign of King Jungjong, but don’t let that turn you away… It’s a classic monster movie - as you may have guessed from the title, and we recommend you watch it before listening to this episode because we get into some spoiler territory near the end. It’s fun and somewhat political tale about a horrible creature plaguing the countryside.. or is it just a myth created to discredit a leader? We also reiterate our love for Korean films in general and recommend a few you shouldn’t miss.

SPOILER WARNING: This episode contains MAJOR SPOILERS which means important story details will be revealed. We always advise listeners to: Watch First Listen Later.

Music composed and performed by Burk Sauls.
